Common questions
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by CoinCoach. To cancel:
Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, you'll automatically move to the free tier — your data stays intact.
You can permanently delete your account directly from within the app:
Account deletion is permanent and immediate. All your financial data, AI Coach conversations, goals, and personal information are removed from our servers and cannot be recovered.
No. CoinCoach never connects to your bank, never asks for your bank credentials, and never sees your account numbers. You enter your expenses and income manually, or scan receipts with your camera. Your banking data stays at your bank.
This is intentional. We believe your financial data should stay with you, not be shared with a third-party aggregator.
When you ask the AI Coach a question, a summary of your financial data (totals, categories, budgets, and recent transactions) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a personalized response. Your email address and personal identifiers are not sent.
The AI is grounded in your actual numbers — not generic advice. It can help you understand your spending, plan for goals, and answer questions about your money.

The AI Coach provides general educational financial guidance. It is not professional financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. Like any AI tool, it can occasionally produce inaccurate or outdated information.
For decisions involving investments, taxes, mortgages, or other major financial decisions, please consult a licensed professional such as a CPA, fiduciary financial advisor, or attorney.
If you notice an error in something the Coach said, we'd love to know — email support@coincoach.app and we'll review it.
Your data is stored on Google Firebase using industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by Firebase Security Rules so that only you can read or modify your own data.
We never sell your data. We never share it with third parties for marketing. We don't show ads.
You can export your data anytime (Dashboard → Export CSV), or permanently delete your account from Settings.

If you're still having trouble, email us at support@coincoach.app with your Apple receipt (Apple emails this to you after purchase) and a description of the issue. We respond within 1–2 business days.
Subscription refunds are handled by Apple, not by CoinCoach. To request a refund:
Apple decides refund eligibility on a case-by-case basis. If they decline, feel free to email us at support@coincoach.app — we'll do what we can to help.
We're launching on iOS first to build the product carefully with a focused audience. Android and a full web version are on our roadmap, but we don't have a timeline yet.

CoinCoach is rated 4+ on the App Store, but the financial planning features are designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact privacy@coincoach.app and we'll delete it.
